  • pencil, paper and some form of ID

  • small thin towel

TOILETRIES

  • biodegradable soap, deodorant
  • toothbrush and paste

  • rain cover for backpack
  • small plastic bags (for garbage and dirty or wet clothes
  • flashlight and extra batteries
  • pocket knife
  • binoculars or camera (optional)
  • camp stool, commode, clicker
CLOTHES
  • shorts/pants

  • sweater and jacket

  • thermal wear (if cool)

Food/Pantry

  • Breakfast food (oatmeal, bagel instant coffee, tea, hot chocolate,etc..)

  • (avoid heavy cans)
  • can openers (if you do bring cans)

  • snacks, cheese, sandwich bread, (plan each meal)
  • pot or pan
  • cup / plate/ bowl
  • eating utensils
  • camp stove and fuel
  • water for drinking and cooking water for washing (2 -3 qts a day
  • water filter (if trip is extended)
  • matches in waterproof container
  • EVERYTHING SHOULD BE IN ZIPLOCKS OR PLASTIC (because of the animals)
