Wondering How to Green Your Home? Green Buidling and Energy Efficiency for the Homeowner: The First Steps Presentation by Liam Globle of Envinity Green Design and Construction. This event is sponsored by Moshannon Group and the Penn State Center for Sustainability. At the Schlow Centre Region Library, 211 S. Allen Street, State College. Start time is 7PM at the Community Room.


Tuesday June 17
Picnic at Canoe Creek State Park in Blair County. Program at 5:00 PM, followed by a covered dish social in Pavilion #2 at 6:00 PM, and then an evening walk in Canoe Creek State Park. Picnic Program: Eagles Here and There: Research in Pennsylvania and Kazakhstan. Dr. Todd Katzner, from The National Aviary in Pittsburgh, will share slides and stories from his eagle-tracking projects in the wilds of central Asia and central Pennsylvania. This program is in conjunction with the JVAS annual picnic. After the picnic, all are welcome to join Dr. Stan Kotala as he leads a short nature walk in the park. About Moshannon Group Presentations
Our regular presentations feature speakers on important local conservation issues and outdoor adventures. Please stay tuned to this page for info on our upcoming programs, as soon as they are scheduled. Our monthly presentations are usually held during the autumn, winter, and spring months. In the past we have utilized facilities at the Centre County Historical Society and the Centre County Solid Waste Authority (the "Green Building"). Our preferred location is now the community room at Schlow Centre Region Library, 211 South Allen Street in downtown State College, while we may also hold events in other downtown locations.
